Federal American Eagle Ammunition is loaded to NATO specifications, and even includes the green painted tip. This is the same ammunition currently being used by the US Military and is first run quality product. Headstamps will be marked with "LC" and the last two digits for the year of production. This ammunition is non-corrosive in boxer-primed, reloadable brass cases.
Please Note: While the 5.56x45mm NATO will fit in a .223 Remington chamber, the 5.56 is a military round that runs at higher pressures than its .223 counterpart and is not recommended to be fired in a .223 Remington chamber.
Federal® American Eagle® XM855 Ammo is manufactured to military specifications in the legendary Lake City facility, which is responsible for producing a high volume of ammunition for the US Military. These rounds feature the classic M855/SS109 "green tip" projectile, designed to penetrate through light barriers.
LOOK FOR THE DISCOLORED CASE.
This Ammo has been annealed to meet military specifications. Unlike your standard civilian round, the military requires visual proof of the annealing, causing the case to appear discolored. This is done intentionally to meet military requirements for overall durability and strength in the completed round.

We don't stock ammo normally, this is our personal supplies. We don't know when more will be available to purchase, suppliers are estimating possibly the end of 2021.
